Logistics Manager
Job Description:
1. Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing to achieve cost efficiencies.
2. Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective transportation and storage solutions while maintaining financial targets.
3. Optimize logistics processes to minimize expenses, reduce lead times, and improve cost efficiency throughout the supply chain.
4. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
5. Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
6. Respond to shipping complaints, lost items, and damages, and ensure insurance certificates on all shipments.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand customer requirements and ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
8. Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycle
9. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
10. Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates.

13. Oversee inventory management, including forecasting, stock control, and warehouse optimization, to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
14. Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with logistics standards and regulations.
15. Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
16. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, implementing best practices and innovative solutions in logistics operations.
17. Manage the team, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure the team is meeting performance expectations.
18. Conduct performance appraisal and set annual objectives for the team in line with the department's business plan

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10-12 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, and inventory control.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
