Economist at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

Economist with 8+ years of experience is required to join the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Participate in the preparation of the annual economic & social development plan
*Update regularly the main economic indicators from local & international resources
*Prepare quarterly follow-up reports covering the development of the main economic indicators & economic sectors
*Analyze the existence of trends, as well as local & world economic developments by gathering information from recent local & international reports
*Prepare and review reports/ papers on contemporary economic & financial issues
*Deal with the preparation of international economic reports and the most important indicators of economic exchange as well as the implications related to the Ministry and the country as well
*Work on the economic policy perceptions and utilize them in drawing up the development plans
*Follow up on the collection, analysis and study of statistical data on the economy between Egypt and other countries

Key Skills:
*Ability to conduct research studies.
*Ability to gather and analyze economic data and present findings.
*Excellent technical report writing skills.
*Results-oriented and ability to achieve project targets before deadlines
*Ability to work in a team
*High level of communication, presentation and writing skills
*Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with institutional and private-sector partners and stakeholders
*Proficiency with MS Office software

Qualifications:
*A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Economics, Social Sciences field)
*Master degree in Economics is preferred

Vacancy: Economist

Location: Ministry of Finance of Egypt

Main job profile:

Managing the integration of various projection modules, ensuring the well-functioning of inter-linkages and troubleshooting problems as they arise
Checking the consistency of the forecast with the introduction of new amendments to assumptions or policy direction
Managing the organization and presentation of output, either by using existing output modules or creating new ones.
Participate in the preparation and update of the medium-term fiscal projections
Assist in the update of a number of monthly and quarterly reports produced by the macro-fiscal unit
Participate in the preparation of occasional reports, policy notes and presentations, including by compiling and editing data, charts and text in the respective documents.
Minimum Entry Requirement:

Master’s degree in Economics or development related subjects or 3 years of experience as an Economist.

Senior Risk Officer


Job Title: Senior Risk Officer

Responsibilities:
The incumbent of the position is responsible for daily monitoring, identification and assessment of risk aspects arising within the Foundation’s operations in a systematic approach. Specifically the areas of credit, operational, liquidity and market Risks.

The Senior Risk Officer will assist the Risk Manager in the establishment of the risk department’s plan and manuals; identification, assessment and monitoring of risks arising in the lending cycle and suggesting exposure limits to mitigate these risks. Perform risk-based process mapping on all working procedures to identify weaknesses in the internal control environment and present recommendations. 

Qualifications:
• University degree in Economics, Statistics or any related study.
• At least (3) five years’ experience in the areas of Risk Management or Internal Audit or any relevant field.
• Data Analysis Skills. 
• Good knowledge of work processes. 
• Excellent Report Writing Skills. 
• Sufficient level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office). 
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
