Risk Specialist at The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development

Risk Specialist is required to join the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist the manager of Crisis & Risk Management in implementing the Risk Management framework in the Ministry which includes Risk governance, Risk Policies, Risk data and Risk tools to ensure that a sound environment for identifying, assessing, measuring, monitoring and controlling Risk is in place.
* Assist in developing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in coordination with Ministry’s business functions.
* Assist in identifying and analyzing root causes to ensure that any necessary remedial actions or control improvements are implemented to prevent future losses and events.
* Assist in preparing risk analysis report and liaise with the Risk &crisis Manager to conduct Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercises across MINISTRY and Risk awareness training.
* In conjunction with Business Continuity (crisis Management), promote the integrity of business continuity principles, methodology and strategy through the development, implementation and ongoing management of Business Continuity.
* Assist the Risk &Crisis Manager in ensuring that the Ministry is capable of responding to emergency situations in cases of business disruptions or disaster situations.
* Support the Risk &crisis Manager in analyzing and identifying the critical business process and sub-processes in various business units to enable the development of an adequate and comprehensive BCM strategy/ plan. 
* Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) / Disaster Recovery (DR) testing exercise across the Ministry using documented and approved test scenarios to ensure that all personnel are properly trained to respond to disaster/ crises situations.
* Update the BCP and DRP policy/ procedures in light of emerging trends in organizational/ process changes that impact the Crisis Management strategy/ plan.
* Inform the Risk & crisis manager of significant Risk related issues that may jeopardize the achievement of Ministry goals.
* Provide timely and accurate information to the Central Department of Strategic Management when required.

Job Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in a Relevant Field Required.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Risk & Crisis management function.
* Professional Qualification Preferred in information security.
