Job Duties
- Directs cash management operations to include daily cash administration, management of current accounts and bank relations.
- Ability to supervise and resolve returned checks, unidentified checks, supervise the banking liaison.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure designated cash processing, reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in a timely manner.
- Reviews and drives improvement in cash management, ensuring financial obligations are met.
- Tracks cash flow (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Monitors cash transactions to ensure that bank account balances to the report and any unusual items are investigated.
- Monitor cash which is unapplied, provide updates on significant change anomalies.
- Respond to trends in Cash; especially unapplied Cash.
- Identify discrepancies from the Cash Aging Report.
- Generate KPI reporting and monitor performance against goals and metrics for Accounts Receivable team
- Ensure timely and accurate cash application, invoicing, collections, account reconciliations, and reporting.
- Provide monthly formal and weekly/routine informal reporting to management on status and progress.
- Monitor department operations to ensure receivables functions are being performed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Influence Business Processing, Client Relations towards implementing process and systems improvements necessary to gain efficiencies and proper controls around invoicing, cash receipts and receivables management.
- Lead and review account reconciliation and collection efforts to bring and maintain all accounts current.
- Handle customer escalations when required, balancing the need to fulfill fiduciary responsibilities while providing top-notch customer service to clients. Escalates more serious collection issues and account balances to Manager.
- Investigate circumstances of non-payment, negotiating and resolving conflicts necessary to collect and clear open receivables.
- Supervise, hire, train, provide feedback, coach and develop team members.

Job Requirements
-Hands-on experience with accounting software
-Familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel
-Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
-Ability to accurately process numerical data
-Team management and negotiation skills
-Problem-solving attitude
-BSc degree in Accounting or Finance
-CPA certification is a plus
-Hands-on experience with accounting software
