Duties & Responsibilities
· Design, Implement, test and support infrastructure solutions that meet the scope of work documents and industry best practices.
· Provide run-books and technical documentations for all technical work to L1 & L2 operational teams.
· Responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects including capacity planning, change control, certificate management, server patch management.
· Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction enabling business strategy.
• Provide physical and logistical layout of the resources and equipment within the data center.
Qualifications and education requirements
• 3+ years’ experience in storage infrastructure implementation (based on Dell PowerStore, PowerScale, PowerMax or similar) understanding long-distance SAN networking and layered software that supports high availability, data safety, as well as storage manipulations (EMC Recover Point, Snap view, SRDF, SAN Copy, among other).
• 3+ years’ experience with implementing backup and recovery solutions (based on Dell NetWorker, Avamar, Veeam or similar) and data replication architecture and products.
• Experience in Brocade/Cisco SAN architecting, administrating, and troubleshooting
• Fabrics: zoning, aliasing, QoS, FC routing, and virtual fabrics.
• 3+ years of experience in implementing VMware and/or Microsoft server virtualization solutions.
• Solid & strong experience of core infrastructure services (Active Directory, DNS and DHCP).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against mission-critical deadlines.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced global team environments and solve problems with limited supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and problem management in a multi-platform environment.
• Perform troubleshooting, replacing failed components as necessary, scheduling, and coordinating equipment repairs with vendors.
• Experience in Deployment and administration of Linux and/or Windows server OS.
