About the Job:
• Proactively manage daily freight forwarding activities of the company to include all sea, air, road operations import/export process.
•Responsible for negotiating competitive freight rates based on targets received from sales teams, build relationships with lines and agents locally and internationally.
• Responsible for sourcing and negotiating preferred rates with Customs brokers and inland trucking companies.
• Ensures continuous improvement in customer service always exceeding customer’s expectations and managing the implementation of necessary operational and customer service practices.
• Ensure that financial aspects (billing and invoicing) and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with company requirements.
• Develop overall operational strategy and direction for the freight forwarding teams.
• Meet or exceed established goals relative to on-time delivery and shipping accuracy performance for customer shipments.
• Taking ownership of complaint and queries and proactively following through to resolution
•Lead and motivate the operation team, drive quality and performance.
Job Requirements:
· Strong experience and knowledge on all modes of delivery such as trucking, airline, shipping
· Managerial skills, problem-solving, Leadership, Customer Service, Planning & Organizing, Negotiation skills.
· Excellent computer skills, advanced office applications.
· Excellent English skills.
· Experienced with handling general cargo shipments and all related issues
· Have the ability to handle issues with any partner in this business (shipping line, cargo owners, brokers and involved authority).
Level of experience: 4 to 7 years
Salary: To be determined
Company location: Sheraton, Heliopolis, Cairo.
Working hours: 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM
Working days: Sunday to Thursday
