ORTHO HOUSE - Cairo Is seeking to hire Cost &Inventory Accountant
Responsibilities
1)Planning, Studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
2)Analyzing data collected and recording results
3) Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
4) Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
5)Actively work with the Inventory Manager, other accounting managers, and accounting staff to develop and operate standard period-end closing schedules and desk procedures
6)Actively work with the Director of Accounting and IT – Enterprise Reporting team in the development and testing of new inventory reports and assist in related user testing
7)Handle non-routine inventory transactions (write up / write down)
Qualifications:
1)Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2)1 to 2 years of experience in costing and inventory
3)Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles
4)Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access
5)An understanding of GAAP in relation to inventory
