Estimating the cost of projects is the responsibility of a Cost Engineer. Candidate able to analyze the requirements and specification of a project and determine the cost involved to launch such a project.  

A Cost Engineer usually performs the following tasks:
• Assessing risks 
• Doing cost estimates 
• Forecasting 
• Reviewing proposed schedules 
• Implementing best practices 
• Performing cost control 
• Analyzing variances
• Prepare and periodic update benchmark for the market prices 
• Direct contact with vendors and suppliers
• Unit rate analysis
• Value engineering activities
• Evaluation of bidders’ financial proposals
• Negotiation with the bidders during the bidding stage

Qualification

• Practical Experience 7-10 years in the field of construction cost estimation
• Good knowledge of computer programs (AutoCAD –Excel –Revit)
• Excellent oral and written English
