The position of Resident Support Officer  is a live-in professional who is the representative of the Residential Life administration and is the link between the residents, the student RAs (student resident advisors) & the Residential Life office. 

The responsibility of the RSO is to create an environment where students develop independence and learn to live supportively with others by providing service and programs. 

The RSO must live in the University residences whether on-campus or off-campus and must be responsive and accessible 24/7. 
The position requires a university degree (preference is for AUC graduates) in any field and has at least 3 years of experience working with students. 

The RSO must be able to work independently, has excellent communication and leadership skills, some basic coaching and counseling skills, the ability to plan and implement activities and write detailed daily reports in English. Individuals in this position must have the ability and willingness to respond to crisis and emergency situations at any time.
