MBC is Hiring Editorial Content Proofreader
Job Objective:
• Editorial content is error-free (spelling/grammar) and consistent in style
• Editorial content is written in plain Arabic
• Editorial content is clear and engaging for its intended audience
• Sub-editing text written by a number of authors to ensure consistent in-house style is maintained;
• Resolving queries directly with the author, e.g. editorial compliance and text inconsistencies;
• Reporting on and monitoring quality assurance of MBC Group content editorial platforms
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team separated by geographical distance
• Developing and maintaining documentation of policies, processes, and procedures
• Maintaining awareness of new words or phrases in popular usage to ensure they're appropriate for the readership;
• Working to a style checklist to ensure consistency in hyphenation, capitalisation, continuity, authenticity of text;
• Creating content metadata specific reports and analytics
Requirements:
3+ years as:
• Proofreading Specialist
• Working on dual language editing texts (Ar/En/Ar)
• Translation (Ar/En/Ar)
