Position Description and responsibilities:
Conduct routine walkthroughs of data center facility to proactively detect equipment failures.
• Provide third-party vendor escorts.
• Provide support for all physical installations including hardware racking & stacking, power and network cabling.
• Interact with different vendors, contractors, and building management to provide a high level of quality work.
• Maintain electronic inventory of equipment and rack locations.
• Monitor and respond to security, environmental and equipment monitoring systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced 24x7 environment with flexibility to work after-hours and weekends.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar critical facilities.
•Electrical certifications a plus.
•Needs to have a functional knowledge of: fibre optics and electrical cabling and labeling conforming to Telecom industry standards.
•Strong technical and mechanical background with experience on the critical infrastructure (Generators, HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, DC Power Plants, etc.) found in data center facilities.
